On my husbands Birthday (12/06)he went golfing with friends. I received a call from our nephew in Anza wanting a ride home. I called hubby on his cell phone and left a message, he couldn't get a signal while on the golf course, and his friends battery had died. So as soon as he was able to get to a pay phone he called me collect. Mind you this call came at 5:02pm from Glendale (818)to Long Beach(562)and was 5.0 minutes long. I just got the bill the other day and almost had a heart attack it came to a whopping $25.75 with taxes it is $27.78. For 5 minutes I cannot believe that this company can get away with this highway robbery, that is only $10.00 less than my monthly service from AT&T. The company that handled the call is Legacy LD Intl, Inc.
Does anyone know if there is anything that I can do about this? I don't want to pay it, although I know I will most likely have to pay it. But this is really over the top.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
