Below is a online live chat I had with a career builder rep.
Please wait while we find an agent to assist you...
Hello, you have been connected with Alonza Spain. Welcome to Careerbuilder.com's live chat! What can I help you with today?
Angela: I see my resume has been viewed three times I want to know how I am able to see who viewed my resume...When I click on "Who are these Views". It just takes me to a section on increasing my views
Alonza Spain: Yes, the option to view the name of these employers is only associated with our Resume Upgrade service.
Alonza Spain: The Titanium and Platinum levels allow you to view the names of the employers.
Angela: I dont want to upgrade my resume I just want to see who is viewing it
Angela: so I have to upgrade to see
Angela: thats not right
Alonza Spain: Unfortunately, this is the only way to view the information you are requesting.
Alonza Spain: I apologize
Angela: I guess thats why I use monster
Angela: this is just a ploy to make money
Alonza Spain: The service helps maximize your resume's exposure to employers that search in our database.
Alonza Spain: However, it is completely optional.
Angela: I will report this to the local news stations.... When people are looking for jobs they should not have to pay a fee to be seen
Alonza Spain: Your resume is available to employers without purchasing the service.
Alonza Spain: We have over 26 million resumes in our database and the service is available for those who are seeking to take a proactive approach to marketing themselves above others to employers online.
Angela: I know its optional... but you put people in a bind... obviously they want to be seen because they need a job... this is the old bate and switch

I think they are rying to profit on people looking for jobs.... When they claim the employers pay for there service....

Oh i agree... Ive been using Careerbuilder for the past few months and i refuse to pay them money just so that my resume can be seen by more people.

Whats the purpose of creating a FREE account if employers wont see it unless you pay...
