A new game show premiered tonight on FOX. It's called The Moment of Truth and it could quite possibly be the worst show ever created in the history of television. It showcases how truly desperate and greedy can people be when they are willing to humiliate themselves and their loved ones for a few bucks?? Appararently, very greedy.

I saw the show premiere tonight; here are some questions that were asked of a married personal trainer and ex-football player after being questioned while hooked up to a lie detector:

*Have you ever touched a female client more than you should have? (answered no, declared FALSE)
*Are you delaying having children because you're not sure if your current partner is your life partner? (the answer was YES and TRUE).
*Have you suspected your friends from hitting on your wife? (again YES and TRUE)
*Have you checked out other guys' privates in the shower? (the answer was YES)

I don't know about you, but no amount of money is worth this humiliation both to yourself and to your 'loved ones'.

This show is getting ridiculous. Apparently contestants are going around saying it's rigged because no one seems to get more than $100,000. I realize the polygraph can't lie and people can, but come on! That last girl clearly had no problem telling the truth, yet the big $200,000 question said she lied? It seems more like they're hell bent on ruining people's lives than giving them money (which makes for GREAT tv I suppose).

I agree Holly Wood...I think the worse one so far is the one contestant who admitted to infidelity and other awful things, then finanlly lost the all money on the question, "do you think you're a good person?". If that wasn't a slap in the face I don't know what could be...she walked away with nothing, except a lot of explaning to her family and husband.

Personally, I have never seen this show, only the promo’s for up coming shows. I would NOT waste my time watching something like that. There is NO amount of money worth destroying you life and family for, I can’t believe people would. I hear it’s popular…this just goes to show what our society has become. Anything for a buck or ratings. Very sad. Frowner

I will be so surprised if this show comes back for a second season after everything we've seen so far. I suppose if you want to destroy your relationships and hurt your families, might as well make some money doing it! Ugh, it's just awful, especially when the camera pans to the husbands/wives/moms and you can tell they're trying to keep it together. Frowner

I think this show signifies a new LOW in our society. The fact that people are willing to go on national television and risk their careers, spouses, friends, parents, siblings, etc. for CASHCASH is............sad Frowner

I totally agree with you mchotsie...this is a reflection of our society's greed for money more than anything else. We've hit a new LOW with this one and I wonder how the host feels about being part of this program knowing that damage that is it causing to the families involved? No amount of money could get me to go on that show. No amount on money is worth destroying my family, friends and career. I haven't seen any of the new episodes and I don't plan to...that's how they get ratings and that's how they keep the show going. Thanks for your comment chotsie.
