Once you strip away all the "star power" that the media has bestowed upon Obama - what you have left is his voting record.
A voting record is the only thing we really know about how this man thinks...because he has done little else since being elected to the U.S. Senate except collect a pay check and become the darling of the media (he has yet to make a stand and sponsor any legislation)...so here it is folks... His voting record as an Illinois State Senator: A pervert’s friend: NO HB 1812 (1999) - To require school boards to install software on public computers accessible to minors to block sexually explicit material. NO SB 485 (1999) - To give no offer of “good time” for sex offenders sentenced to the County Jail. (Obama was the only vote against this measure) In 1999, he was the only state senator to opposed a bill that prohibited early prison release for criminal sexual offenders. Then couldn’t decide… Voted PRESENT SB 609 (2001) (couldn’t make up his mind) To restrict the location of buildings with “adult” uses (meaning pornographic video stores, strip clubs, etc.) within 1,000 feet of any public or private elementary or secondary schools But never saw a tax hike he didn’t like… YES SB 1725 (2003) To restore the Illinois Estate Tax. YES SB 1733 (2003) - To impose a Gas Use Tax on the purchase of natural gas from outside the state of Illinois for use or consumption in Illinois. And soft on gang crime... He voted against a bill that would add penalties for crimes committed as a part of gang activity. He voted against a bill that would make it a criminal offense for accused gang members, free on bond or probation, to associate with other gang members. And to kill babies that survived an abortion... In 2002, as an Illinois legislator, Obama voted against the Induced Infant Liability Act, which would have protected babies that survived late-term abortions. That same year a similar federal law, the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, was signed by President Bush. Only 15 members of the U.S. House opposed it, and it passed the Senate unanimously on a voice vote. Wasn’t man enough to take a stand… While an Illinois State Senator for eight years, Obama voted “present” 130 times instead of taking a definitive stand on the issue at hand. “You cannot achieve the kind of changes we want by voting ‘present’ on controversial issues.” And doesn’t even support our language… In 2007 he voted against declaring English as the official language of the US Government The National Journal even named Obama the most liberal Senator in 2007. How can a politician claim to be able to bring a country together when he is not in the middle but the extreme left (or the extreme right for that matter)? |

Hello and especially to the The Moderate Middle. I saw your posting with Senator Obama's voting record. Could you give us where you found the information? I would like to share this with family members and friends, but they may think it's made up if I don't send them to a specific site. I want THE TRUTH to be heard by looking at the Senator's voting record and not what he says. Thanks.
